Mackinac Island Post Office
If you intend to open up a bank account or are planning to have items shipped to you during your time on the island, you will need to establish a mailing address. In order to obtain your mailing address, you will need to open up a post office box at the Post Office. Post office boxes can be shared among friends, but all names must be registered and there is a small fee. Please note that you are not allowed to have personal mail or packages sent to Mission Point Resort's physical address or PO Box. Mission Point Resort is not responsible for any lost mail/packages sent to our address.  The Post Office is located at 7316 Market Street.

Banks
There are two local banks on Mackinac Island that can assist you in opening a savings or checking account. These banks will also cash your paycheck without an account for a small fee. 
Central Savings Bank: 21 Hoban Street - located across from Great Turtle Brewery and next door to Kingston Kitchen.

First National Bank of St. Ignace: 7399 Market Street - located across from the Community Hall and Police Station.
Grocery & Personal Items
Doud's Market, located on the corner of Main Street and Fort Street, is the local grocery store that sells a variety of grocery and personal items with the convenience of its island location. There are also quick to-go lunch options, such as a make-your-own salad bar, a deli that serves made-to-order sandwiches, and various hot lunch items. For information, visit their website here.

Police, Fire & Medical
In case of an emergency, the police and fire stations are both located on Market Street near the Mackinac Island Community Hall. The Mackinac Island Medical Center, also located on Market Street, is part of the Mackinac Straits Health System and can be visited by appointment or in case of emergency. Things To Do on Mackinac Island

When you're not working, take the opportunity to get out and explore Michigan's most historic island!
Hear and feel the cannon and rifles fire at historic Fort Mackinac. Enjoy butterflies from around the world at two beautiful butterfly houses. See the Straits of Mackinac at sunset on a gorgeous Sip N' Sail boat cruise. Explore 70+ miles of hiking and biking trails across Mackinac Island State Park (Michigan's first state park!), characterized by high limestone bluffs, vibrant forests and mystical geological formations. See Mackinac from a new vantage point with a kayak tour. Bike the 8.2 mile perimeter of the island and get lost in the crystal blue waters of Lake Huron. See Arch Rock, Skull Cave, Sugar Loaf and British Landing. Enjoy live Music in the Park every Thursday during the summertime. Take a haunted history tour, walking through the downtown area and Mission district while a guide shares stories of the unexplained, or enjoy a narrated Mackinac Island horse-drawn carriage tour. The Mackinac Arts Council also offers a wide variety of experiences and volunteer opportunities throughout the summer. Enjoy live music and film series to art exhibitions and community workshops, you will find more than enough opportunities to experience arts and culture on Mackinac Island.
